Culver's Beats Out In-N-Out Burger as America's Best Burger Chain

“Welcome to Delicious!” We thought you would like to read how Culver's is the now the nation's best burger chain, beating out In-N-Out Burger, according to a Restaurant Business report from Technomic Ignite.

Responses of more than 100,000 consumers are used to calculate an overall score based on five categories: service/hospitality, ambiance/appearance, food/beverage, takeout/convenience and value.


Overall, Culver’s scored 56.7 percent to In-N-Out Burger’s 56.3 percent. Culver’s rated better in ambiance, food and convenience while In-N-Out rated better for value. The two were virtually tied when it came to service and hospitality.


The chain, which on July 18 celebrated its 34th birthday, has become known for its burgers, cheese curds and frozen custard.


Culver’s tops New York-based Shake Shack and California’s In-N-Out Burger in annual sales - $1.43 billion last year, compared to Shake Shack’s $359 million and In-N-Out’s $908 million according to the Top 500 Chain Restaurant Report 2018 by Technomics.


Culver’s ranks 42nd overall beating other regional stalwarts White Castle ($547 million), Steak ‘n Shake ($1.09 billion), and Waffle House ($1.33 billion) too.


Not only was Culver’s tops among burger chains, it was third among all quick-service chains. Chick-fil-A and Tropical Smoothie Cafe were rated No. 1 and 2, respectively.
