Dollar General had strong same-store sales growth in the last quarter of 2018. How will this success affect their plans for this year?

Dollar General will spend up to $825 million opening 975 new stores, remodeling 1,000 mature stores and relocating 100 existing stores.
Their goal is to achieve 2.5 percent same-store sales growth for the year.
Its same-store sales grew by 3.2 percent last year, as the company opened 900 new stores, remodeled 1,050 and relocated 115.
Dollar General was operating 15,370 stores across 44 states as of Feb. 1, 2019.
The retailer is also investing in its digital channel and in frozen food and HR technology that it expects will boost productivity.
Same-store sales grew by 4 percent in the fourth quarter.
Early release of government Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) helped drive increases in traffic and the average ticket.
